I am so blessed, to have had the opportunity to photograph Abbey and Jordan. It was such a delight spending the afternoon with them getting to know them. We strolled around St. Anthony Main in Minneapolis, talking and trying to make them laugh as I captured their beautiful smiles and love. The day was pretty cold, but I think we hardly felt it, since we were having so much fun. I had to share my experience with the word wide web, and to no surprise,  their love made it to be published on A Northwoods Wedding.

A beautiful winter wedding at the Nicollet Inn. What a gorgeous couple they are, it was such a great pleasure to photograph them. I love the red and gold themes.

Election day is tomorrow, and everyone is giving their last minute opinion. So I thought I’d give mine, too. I believe in happiness and I believe in a UNITED country. It’s saddens me to see our country so divided, and it’s even more devastating when I read posts from my friends on my facebook dishing out such anger and rude comments about other people. See, what I don’t understand is why judge someone else based on their opinion or political view. Yes, we have the right to vote and chose whom ever we think is worthy of being our president, but why be rude or offensive about it. There is no need to call people names or say such wretched things. These words are being put out there for everyone to see, these cruel words are being read by everyone, why is that because you have a strong opinion about something and someone doesn’t agree with you, they are a horrible person for it. I teach my children to be nice to others, I teach them not to be rude to others, I teach them to share with others, I teach them how to always say please and thank you. The truth is that there will always be something that we don’t agree on, there will always be elections, there will always be things that some of us want and others don’t. What upsets me the most is when people say if you don’t vote this you’re this. Really, then how are we better than the other person?  We should all learn how to live together in a UNITED country not in a DIVIDED country or a country full of hate towards each other. So next time you say something vile on any social media site, please be mindful who is reading it on the other side. There are ways of stating your opinion, without being abhorrent. This is not about sides, this is about how to treat others the way we want to be treated. Stand up for what you believe in and voice your opinion, just be nice about it.  I believe in a life full of love and happiness, what about you?Comments 1

Elise and Derick got married on August 4th of 2012 at Centennial Lakes Park in Edina, MN. The location was absolutely beautiful, to me it was like winning the lotto. The day was beautiful, it wasn’t hot, the sun was out and all that was left to complete that wonderful day was the union of Elise and Derick. Two wonderful people that are so great with each other and such a pleasure to be around. They were the most laid back couple, and truly enjoyed every minute spent with them. I remember my wedding day, I was stressed and I was running around and I was not calm at all. Elise on the other hand, just has the most wonderful attitude and personality that she didn’t have a worry in her mind.

Hello and welcome to my very first blog post. I am new to blogging and I do follow blogs and enjoy reading everyone’s thoughts, opinions and inspirations, so I wanted to get in on the action, too. With that being said, I welcome you to the wonderful, happy, and crazy world of me, Belkis. I was born in Nicaragua, Central America a beautiful country filled with so much culture, family values and a lot of beer and Hipicos. (I’ll explain Hipicos a later) I also am the mother of two wonderful children, Aiden and Junieth and the wife of an amazing man named Bryce Brown. They are my world! They are my number one priority and then comes photography. What can I say I am enamored with my camera and everything that comes along with my passion, photography! So on your marks, get set, Go!
